Happy Friday! How excited are you that it’s a long weekend?
I popped out of bed with an extra spring in my step knowing that I would have three whole days to do whatever my heart desired. I’ll catch up on shows, have Thanksgiving dinner with my family, see friends and just spend the entire weekend in a state of pure bliss. I hope you’re planning on doing the same.
From Thanksgiving recipes to last-minute Thanksgiving decor ideas, we’ve got the meal covered. The only thing you might be missing? Some entertainment. This weekend on Slice, we’re airing some of our favourite shows and movies.
Here are the five things you should watch this weekend:
1. The Mistress Marathon
Have you been watching The Mistress? If you haven’t, you’ve been missing out. I’ve watched every episode and am totally hooked. Talk about drama! Catch up on the entire season this Saturday from 6pm to 12am (or online, any time). You can also read our thoughts on each episode in our recaps.
2. Never Been Kissed
I love Drew Barrymore, and I’m not afraid to admit it. This is one of my all-time favourite movies and I’m so happy we’re airing it this weekend. Michael Vartan is dreamy, and the high-school storyline is one we can all appreciate. If you’ve never seen it, I totally recommend watching and if you have, you know you can watch it again! Airing Saturday at 3:30pm and Sunday at 1:30pm.
3. Collection Intervention Marathon
This show never fails to amaze me. Can you imagine having your house stacked from wall to wall with Star Wars memorabilia? These over-the-top collectors have amassed enormous collections that are starting to affect and infringe on their lives. Expert Elyse Luray helps them deal with their stuff before it spins out of control. Airing Monday from 10am to 9pm.
4. The Dark Knight
Holy Batman! This sequel is probably the best one in Christpher Nolan’s trilogy. Not only is Heath Ledger spectacular as The Joker, but usual good guy Aaron Eckhart takes an awesome evil turn as Two-Face. With lots of action and suspense (and a little love) this movie is sure to please all audiences. Airing Monday at 9pm and 12am.
5. Ex-Wives of Rock Marathon
It’s hard to imagine what life as a rock star would be like. We’d guess it would include invitations to the hottest parties, hobnobbing with celebrities, ultimate VIP treatment and getting to experience the best that life has to offer. Now, imagine getting to experience all that and then having to come back down to earth? That’s exactly what these ex-wives have been forced to deal with. Don’t miss all the drama, Sunday from 6:30pm to 12am.
