It’s the Friday before Christmas! How psyched are you?

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, the next ten days give everyone a much-needed break. Business slows down (except if you’re shopping!) and we have time to relax with family and friends and reflect on the past year.

One of my favourite things to do during the holidays is sit around the fire (with snow falling outside, hopefully!) after a great meal and watch some of my favourite programs or movies. The little kids snuggle under blankets, the big kids have wine and we all just enjoy being together.

Lucky for me — and you! — Slice has decided to air some really awesome programming over the holidays. Here’s what I’ll be watching:

1. Real Housewives of New Jersey Marathon
Do you love RHONJ? I am guessing you do since it seems EVERYONE loves these housewives. If you missed an episode, or just want to relive the drama, tune in for this six-hour marathon on Christmas Day.
Airs Tuesday, December 25 from 12pm to 6pm.

2. The Mistress Marathon
This series originally aired in the fall, and within a few episodes, I was hooked. Sarah Symonds has the perfect attitude: she’s compassionate and she’s tough. She doesn’t let these women off the hook, but she understands the pain they’ve gone through. I dare you to try and watch just one episode.
Airs Thursday, December 27 from 6pm to 12am.

3. When Harry Met Sally
This is, without a doubt, one of the best romantic comedies ever made. If you haven’t seen it, you need to (like, you must watch this movie. I cannot stress it enough.) and if you have, you’ll know that you can watch it time and time again.
Airs Sunday, December 30 from 9pm to 11pm.

4. Eat Pray Love
Let’s just say it: Julia Roberts rocks. There are few who can do a rom-com like she does and this tale (based on the best-selling novel) is one of my personal favourites. If you’re not a Julia fan, the scenery alone (Bali, Italy, India) is worth tuning in for.
Airs Saturday, December 29 from 9pm to 12am.

5. Til Debt Do Us Part Marathon
With a new year, usually comes a boatload of resolutions. If one of yours is to be more financially savvy or to save for a big purchase, then park yourself on the sofa and watch ten hours of Gail Vaz-Oxlade. This financial guru helps couples get their finances in order — and I have no doubt you’ll learn quite a few things, too.
Airs Saturday, December 29 from 6am to 4pm.

6. ET Canada’s New Year’s Eve at Niagara Falls 2013
If you’re forgoing the crowds and staying in this year, tune in for ET Canada’s New Year’s Eve special. With performances by Hedley, Dragonette and Nelly Furtado, this countdown will remind you why you’re so proud to be Canadian.
Airs Monday, December 31 from 10pm to 12:30am.
