These recap blogs often question whether or not we should feel sorry for the mistresses in question. In this episode, I think it’s pretty hard not to.
Like most mistresses, Eva is hanging on to the fantasy that her Married Man will actually leave his wife to be with her. The only difference is, her MM has given her no reason to think this at all.
Eva has spent the past two years in a relationship with a man who won’t even hold her hand in public. Ladies, men are territorial beings, a man will hold your hand in public to show other men that you are his. It’s that simple!
As per usual, Slice caught up with Eva to find out how she’s doing, now that the cameras and Sarah are both gone.
Slice: What is your current relationship status?
Eva: I am in the beginning stages of a new relationship with a wonderful man.
S: Since the show, have you been in contact with your MM?
E: No, not at all.
S: Are you weary of starting new relationships out of fear that you will end up a mistress again?
E: I have no fear of getting into a relationship with a married man because the first time I was fooled. Never again will I see anyone who is not 100 percent single and available.
S: Do you regret your past affairs?
E: I have no regrets about any relationships I’ve had. That relationship in particular held many gifts and taught me many lessons. I am, however, extremely happy and relieved that it is over.
S: If you could say anything to your MM’s wife, what would you say?
E: I wouldn’t say anything to her. His behaviour will continue, I’m sure. I have moved past him and don’t wish to involve myself with them or in any negativity or drama.
S: How would you describe your experience with Sarah?
E: My experience with Sarah was exactly what I needed to help me move out of, what was for me, a very emotionally toxic relationship, and her encouragement and support meant the world to me. I came out of it feeling healed and empowered, and Sarah was a key part of that process for me. I am extremely grateful to her.
Next up, Eninka. I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting this episode. Eninka grew up thinking that affairs were normal and even makes sweeping generalizations about men and women from her own culture.
Luckily, Eninka has such a great cousin, Muhy, who not only recognizes that she is selling herself short but who also has no problem telling her exactly what he thinks.
After the show wrapped up we caught up with Eninka who gave us a brief update on her life after The Mistress.
Slice: What is your current relationship status?
Eninka: I’m single as a bee! Enjoying my time…
S: Since the show, have you been in contact with your MM?
E: I am in contact with my MM. We are friends now…we haven’t had any sexual contact.
S: How would you describe your experience with Sarah?
E: Eye-opening.
