When Wednesday night finally rolls around, I typically know what to expect. I’ve watched every episode of The Mistress, and there is little (at this point) that would surprise me.

But the first of last night’s back-to-back episodes certainly did.

Megan was the mistress, who randomly met a married man while hiking, and months later began a romantic relationship with him. He’s been promising her for six months that he would leave his wife but hasn’t made a single move to do so.

Megan swears that they’re in love and believes that he’ll actually leave any day now. But will he?

Last night, Sarah Symonds pulled the wife card. She had Megan sit down with three wives whose spouses had cheated on them. It was intense, and I’m shocked that Megan made it through in one piece.

Watch Megan’s episode now!

Slice caught up with Megan to find out how she’s holding up.

Slice: What is your current relationship status?
Megan: Single and happy. Trying to stay occupied with my work and hobbies. Keeping my friends close and enjoying their company.

Slice: Since the show, have you been in contact with your MM?
Megan: Yes, we are still really good friends but he has a lot on his plate to sort out. I suggested we keep our space and when his divorce goes through (the process has started and I’m trying to be patient) we can think about starting a future together. He is very understanding.

Slice: Are you weary of starting new relationships out of fear that you will end up a mistress again?
Megan: No not at all. I haven’t in my life ever sought out to be with a married man. This relationship with my mm was unintentional and out of character for me.

Slice: Do you regret your past affairs?
Megan: I’ve only had this one and I don’t regret having met him and getting close to him. It was a natural progression between two people despite what society says. We are both good people who happened to get caught up in a challenging situation. We will always be in each others lives but for right now, I can’t commit to this relationship until his marriage is officially over. Although the process has started, and his marriage is over in all other aspects, the piece of paper I guess is what I’m waiting for to make it official.

Slice: If you could say anything to your MM’s wife, what would you say?
Megan: I have nothing to say to her.

Slice: How would you describe your experience with Sarah?
Megan: Sarah is a great person with an amazing energy. The experience with her was eye-opening and gave me a serious reality check.
